The Lion and the Mouse

The Lion and the Mouse
One day, a great lion lay fast asleep in the forest. A little mouse, scurrying by, accidentally ran across his paw. The lion awoke with a mighty roar and caught the mouse between his claws.
"Please let me go," squeaked the mouse. "Someday I might help you in return!"
The lion laughed but kindly released the mouse. Days later, the lion was caught in a hunter’s net. He roared helplessly. The mouse heard and rushed to his aid, nibbling through the ropes to set the lion free.
“I didn’t believe you then,” said the lion, “but today I do. Even the smallest can help the mighty.”
